Thanksgiving pet tips for guests
by Allan Tong
So, you've been invited to Thanksgiving dinner, but want to bring your dog. What do you do as a guest? (See here for tips for hosts.) Here's some advice:
Thanksgiving is a time with family, so ask for permission before taking your dog to your relative's home.
Next, check whether your host has a cat or dog and whether both your pets are compatible.
If your host says yes, then prepare your dog with a thorough grooming.
Right before you enter your host's home, have towels or a dry cloth ready to wipe your pet's wet or dirty paws.
Similarly, bring cleaning supplies to immediately address any accidents your pet may make.
Bring dog toys. It wouldn't hurt to check first with your host to get their permission.
Essentially, be in touch with your host before you enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with your family.
Happy Thanksgiving!
